Well, as you can guess, the desert is heating up. Temps have been in the low 100’s. Just a reminder to hit the trails EARLY, crack of dawn is recommended. Little Creek already saw one unfortunate death this spring.

Intense Cycles has scheduled a Demo Day for Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Gooseberry Mesa. We will keep you posted here and on our Zion Cycles website with exact details. Stay tuned!

All trails, including  Gooseberry Mesa, Little Creek Mesa, Guacamole, JEM, Hurricane Rim & Gould’s Rim, are open and in excellent condition. We’re still waiting for the snow to melt up on the Brian Head area trails (along with the Virgin River Rim Trail, by Navajo Lake) which should be around late June. Gooseberry Mesa:
15 miles (5 paved, 10 unpaved dirt) from Zion Cycles to trailhead
Road dry, passable for all vehicles
1 mile of dirt portion deeply rutted, slow going, but OK for all vehicle types
Trails – Excellent!

Guacamole:
Approx. 14 miles (10 miles paved, 4 miles unpaved dirt) from Zion Cycles to trailhead
