Well, as you can guess, the desert is heating up. Temps have been in the low 100’s. Just a reminder to hit the trails EARLY, crack of dawn is recommended. Little Creek already saw one unfortunate death this spring.

Mammatus (also known as mammatocumulus, meaning “bumpy clouds”) is a meteorological term applied to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud. The name “mammatus” is derived from the Latin mamma (udder), due to the resemblance between the shape of these clouds and the udder of a cow.
